Terms of use

These terms cover Nocturna on the web at nocturna.mov and the Nocturna iPhone app. Nocturna is run by Hector Zarco (Hector Leon Zarco Garcia), an independent developer in Valencia, Spain. By using Nocturna you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains what we do with your data.

Your account

You sign in with a magic link sent to your email, so keep that inbox secure. You need to be at least 13, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher.

Groups and what you add

You are responsible for what you add to Nocturna: group names, notes, your display name and username. Keep it legal and decent, and respect the people in your groups.

No harassment, hate or threats.
No impersonating someone else.
No spam, and no using Nocturna to reach people who did not invite you.

You keep ownership of what you write. You let us store and show it to the people it is meant for, which is what running the app requires. To report someone, email hello@nocturna.mov with their username. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Films

Film data and images come from TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Posters and other artwork belong to their owners. Nocturna does not host, stream or sell films, and does not show where to watch them.

Price, trial and purchase

On the web, Nocturna is free.
The iPhone app is a free download. You can start a 15-day free trial in the app; it starts when you tap Start free trial and costs nothing.
After the trial you can buy Nocturna Lifetime, a one-off in-app purchase of USD 4.99 (or the equivalent price in your country, shown before you pay). It is not a subscription and never renews. Without it, the app stays readable and some actions ask you to unlock.
Purchases are made through Apple and follow Apple's terms. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Use Restore purchases in the app on a new device.

Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the iPhone app.

The service

We work to keep Nocturna running and your data safe, but it is provided as it is, and features may change. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for losing content you added. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited.

Ending

You can stop using Nocturna and delete your account at any time (Settings > Delete account in the iPhone app, or by email). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you live in the EU, you also keep the protection of the consumer laws of your country and can bring a claim there.
