The sign-in link did not arrive
Check your spam or promotions folder, and make sure the email address is spelled right. Each link works once and expires after a while, so request a fresh one if it is old. On iPhone, open the link on the same phone as the app.
Joining a group
Open the invite link a friend sent you and sign in; you land straight in the group. If the link has expired, ask anyone in the group for a new one.
Purchases on iPhone
Nocturna Lifetime is a one-off USD 4.99 purchase, not a subscription. On a new phone, tap Restore purchases on the unlock screen. For refunds, Apple handles payments at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Deleting your account
In the iPhone app, go to Settings and tap Delete account. Or email hello@nocturna.mov from the address you sign in with, and we will delete the account and its data within 30 days.
Reporting someone
Email hello@nocturna.mov with their username and what happened. We read every report.

What is Nocturna?
Nocturna is an app for planning movie nights with a small, closed circle of friends. Your group keeps a shared pool of films; for each night someone sets a date and a place, the group votes on the film, and everyone says whether they are coming.
How does voting work in Nocturna?
Nocturna uses approval voting: each person ticks every film in the night's poll they would happily watch. The film with the most votes wins, and the host breaks a tie.
Who can see my group?
Only the people in it. Nocturna groups are closed: the only way in is an invite link from someone already inside, and there is no public discovery, search for strangers or feed.
Is Nocturna free?
Nocturna is free on the web at nocturna.mov. The iPhone app is a free download with a 15-day free trial, then a one-off USD 4.99 lifetime purchase. There is no subscription.
Is there a Nocturna app for iPhone?
Nocturna for iPhone is coming to the App Store: a free download with a 15-day free trial, then a one-off USD 4.99 lifetime purchase. It uses the same account, groups and lists as the web.
Does Nocturna show where to stream a film?
No. Nocturna does not show where to watch or stream films. It helps your group pick a film and plan the night; you bring the film.
Where does Nocturna get its film information?
Nocturna uses The Movie Database (TMDB) for titles, posters, cast and genres. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Can other people see my film lists?
Your favourites, watched films and watchlist are visible to the people you share a Nocturna group with. Your profile is private to them until you choose to make it public at nocturna.mov/yourname.
How do I sign in to Nocturna?
Nocturna signs you in with a magic link: enter your email and tap the link it sends you. There is no password to remember.
